HMS Belfast to host war re-enactment eventAn icon of British naval history is to host a special one-day wargaming event in the coming weeks as the Cruiser 2009 show climbs aboard on February 28th.
Organised by the Chestnut Lodge Wargames Group and Wargame Development, the event will see military enthusiasts given the chance to participate in eight short games based on conflict scenarios.
The different elements of the day will cover a swathe of military history and will include such favourites as the Fred Jane Naval Wargame and the Fletcher Pratt Naval Game.
No pre-booking is required and the organisers stress that the event, which will take place between 10:00 and 17:00, is open to everyone.
Whether it's for a good old-fashioned war or a more sedate visit, LondonPass holders can enjoy free admission to HMS Belfast docked on the south bank of the River Thames saving £10.30 for adults.
