Thanksgiving celebrations at St Paul's

Americans expatriates in London descended on the capital's iconic St Paul's Cathedral on November 27th to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Featuring a selection of beautifully sung hymns by the Combined Choirs of American Congregations, the service marked one of the key holidays in the US calendar, which is strongly associated with thoughts of family and home.
Contributions were made by officials from several churches on both sides of the Atlantic as the service observed a number of customs, including the presentation of the American flag.
Thanksgiving is a traditional North American holiday that takes place on the fourth Thursday of November.
The event is rich with popular family traditions, which include an elaborate meal of foods such as roast turkey and pumpkin pie, as well as a televised American football game that attracts a huge audience.
