Basketball comes to the National
Last Updated: Sun 12 Oct 2008

The glitz and glamour of the NBA will come to the National Theatre in London this November for a three-day basketball extravaganza.

A specially constructed court will be set up in Theatre Square outside the building, which will play host to a number of events culminating in a match between superstar Shaquelle O'Neal's Miami Heat and the New Jersey Nets.

In the days prior to the big game there will be a number of themed events and workshops where fans and budding players can see British and American basketball stars in action. Another will be the GB Wheelchair Basketball team, who will be there delighting the crowd with their skills.

This event is the first of its kind and is part of the NBA Central Court event which marks the opening of the 2008-09 season.

LondonPass holders are entitled to a free ticket to the National Theatre Backstage Tour, saving £5 off the regular price, which would be an excellent complement to their basketball experience.ADNFCR-1693-ID-18816273-ADNFCR
