Gordon Ramsay at London ZooThe F Word celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has recently finished filming at London Zoo.
London Zoo received a "thumbs up" for its "impressive cuisine" by the rugged Scottish chef after he filmed for his Channel 4 programme at the popular London tourist attraction.
Ramsay was spotted spending time with the gorillas in London Zoo in an episode of The F Word that aired this month.
And, when it comes to the F word, London Zoo goes through massive amounts of the stuff.
London Zoo made a recent food order - that is only a fraction of the annual order - for 13 tonnes of carrots and four tonnes of eggs.
With over 600 different species of animal to feed, items like cabbages, tomatoes, fish and grapes are in high demand.
"Zootrition, a sophisticated computer programme helps zookeepers create a diet which is equivalent to what the animals would be eating in the wild. It provides them with a varied diet full of the highest quality natural foods," London Zoo notes.
Anteaters, for example, feast on a mix that recreates the ant and termite diet they would eat in their natural grassland habitat.
Visitors to London Zoo can gain entry to the venue using their London Pass.
