The Tiltyard Café at Hampton Court Palace is a great place to stop and enjoy lunch on your visit to Hampton Court.
The food is home made with a great range available and the menu changes seasonally.
Originally used by Henry VIII for jousting, the Tiltyard Café is a large, warm and open space that is pleasant in every season.
In warmer months it is especially lovely to eat outside on the picnic tables where beautiful gardens and the nearby maze can be surveyed.
The Tiltyard Café offers a wide range of refreshments from morning coffee, salads, sandwiches and hot meals to delicious afternoon teas.
A special menu for kids ensures you will find something to suit every taste on the Tiltyard Café menu.
In the lead-up to the celebrations planned for 2009, when the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII’s accession to the throne will be commemorated, Hampton Court Palace is a-buzz with all things Tudor and the Tiltyard Café is no exception.
Periodically the Tudor Kitchen will once again have the fires roaring, and on those days the Tiltyard Café will also be offering one of its hot selections cooked to an original recipe – your chance to experience for real what good old fashioned Tudor tucker tastes like!
