The Orangery

The Orangery restaurant at Kensington Palace is a beautiful 18th century space in which to enjoy breakfast, morning coffee, a light lunch or afternoon tea.

Set in the perfectly manicured grounds of historic Kensington Palace, alfresco dining on the Orangery terrace is a must when the weather is fine.

The Orangery was first created in 1704, and used as somewhere to house the royal plants during winter.

During summer it would become the venue for splendid royal occasions, and with its Corinthian columns, sweeping archways and distinctive woodcarvings, the Orangery today remains an elegant and luxurious reminder of royal times gone by.

Afternoon tea at the Orangery is a truly special occasion, and favourites on the menu include a range of homemade cakes and slices, sandwiches, and traditional strawberries and cream.

The Orangery also offers one of the finest tea selections in London with over ten different flavours to choose from.

Children dining at the Orangery are treated to their own menu and a special kids version of afternoon tea.

All in all, the perfect way to finish off a leisurely stroll through Kensington Gardens for the whole family!
