Workers 'not turning off on holiday'

Published: Saturday 30th of May 2009

Workers find it hard not to stay in contact with their offices while they are on holiday, it has been suggested.

Jonathan Cudworth, head of product marketing at, said people remain interested in what is going on and wonder whether they are missing out on any gossip.

"People think there will be some massive change and the whole world will come to a grinding halt without you at work and then they come back and everything's normal," he commented.

A recent poll from the website found 60 per cent of Britons will fail to take their full holiday entitlement this year, while 22 per cent have cancelled trips due to work commitments.

Taking a break in London this year could be a great way to kick back and relax, with the experience made much more affordable with the London Pass.

It gives free entry to a range of top London attractions, including London Zoo and Kensington Palace.
