UK 'has varied tourist attractions'
Published: Thursday 5th of March 2009
The UK has everything anyone could want in terms of tourist opportunities, claims one expert.
Philip Green, chairman of UKinbound, says the country has fantastic sites, including those in London, and boasts a rich and varied history.
"We are innovative, we are developing restaurants and dining experiences," he continues.
The expert says people can explore everything from towns to the countryside, to major cities such as London, which always has plenty on offer.
He believes that the variety of attractions makes up for the infamous weather experienced in the UK, although it does have its fair share of sunshine.
Overseas residents made 32.8 million visits to the UK in 2007, an all-time record, the Office for National Statistics Travel Trends 2007 report recently discovered.
Those wanting to explore London can do so with the London Pass, which gives entry to a number of attractions throughout the city.
