In an attempt to raise awareness about the importance of working towards a sustainable future, Prince Charles has joined forces with the best of the music, artistic and environmental activists.

The garden party will launch the Start initiative which is designed to help people to understand he role they can play in reshaping the future of the world.

It will feature music arranged by Jools Holland, comedy acts from Marcus Brigstocke and Hugh Dennis and fashion shows put together by Vivienne Westwood.

Prince Charles said: "We have a fantastic team of talented curators who are helping us create an event which will, I hope, be both fun and informative."

Visitors can also take advantage of the upcoming Open House London that will allow public access into 700 of the capital's most notable buildings.
