Take advantage of UK on the cheap, say experts

Published: Monday 23rd of March 2009

The UK is a great place to take a holiday this year, especially with its currency being particularly weak at the moment, it is claimed.

Research from Which? Holiday shows there is a range of destinations for people to visit, including those in and around the capital.

"While the weather can't be guaranteed, Britain really does offer something for everyone, from beach holidays to city breaks and everything in between," comments Lorna Cowan, editor of Which? Holiday.

Kew Gardens in London features in the poll, which people are able to enter free of charge once they have their hands on a London Pass.

It will save them £13 per adult, meaning people can enjoy this top attraction on a budget.

Other locations named in the poll include Barnes in London and Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

Looking further afield, Rye in East Sussex and Colansay in the Hebrides are also well-worth a visit, Which? Holiday reveals.
