Royal Albert Hall hosts Cirque de Soleil

Published: Tuesday 16th of December 2008

One of the world's best-loved venues will see the planet's finest circus troupe swing into town as Cirque de Soleil brings its fantastic new show to the Royal Albert Hall.

From January 4th, Cirque's hugely-talented performers will be dazzling crowds with their gravity-defying stunts as this prestigious venue becomes a big top until February 8th.

Audiences will no doubt be captivated by the company's trademark blend of high-wire action and stunning acrobatics.

The company has built on its ever-growing worldwide success in fulfilling a number of shows on the Las Vegas Strip, with each one based on a different them: water with "O", human sexuality with the slightly risque Zumanity and George Martin's reinterpretation of the music of the Beatles with Love.

Cirque de Soleil was formed in Quebec, Canada in 1984. The company has grown from a few street performers to one of the largest and most successful live entertainment brands on the planet, playing to packed audiences the world over.

LondonPass holders can enjoy free entrance to the backstage tour of the Royal Albert Hall, saving £8 for adults, plus a ten per cent discount on selected merchandise in the gift shop.
