London attractions: Hendrix in Britain exhibition

Published: Friday 17th of September 2010

Head down to the Handel House Museum to enjoy the new Jimi Hendrix exhibition, for things to do in London.

The event allows fans to explore 23 Brook Street, otherwise described by the artiste as his "first real home".

Recognised by the English Heritage, the property now houses the offices of the Handel House Museum.

The exhibition has been launched to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the guitar virtuoso's death.

It features exclusive pieces of memorabilia, music and photographs that trace the star's life in Britain and his rise to fame and recognition.

Hendrix moved into the London flat with his girlfriend Kathy Etchingham back in 1968.

Music lovers can further enrich their experience in London by visiting the Colourscape Music Festival, which offers a unique blend of colour of sound.

Inspired by the music of Debussy and Gamelan, visitors can roam around colourful chambers as musicians churn out tunes.
