London attractions: Hampstead Heath Conker Championships
Published: Friday 8th of October 2010
The unique event will see contestants battle it out with horse chestnuts around Parliament Hill Bandstand.
Visitors can just indulge in a game or two and for those with a more competitive edge there are groups for all age categories, starting from under fives and going all the way up to adults.
Other events on offer include long bow archery, welly wangling and a tug-of-war competition, which will no doubt make for an enjoyable family day out.
After a fun-packed day of activities, merry-makers can wind down with a film in the evening at the Curzon Mayfair Cinema, which is set to host the 2010 London Film Festival.
