London City Charter unveiled
Published: Wednesday 29th of April 2009
A city charter for London - the first of its kind in the city - has been unveiled to help provide funding.
The mayor will work alongside the 33 local authorities to improve public services and deliver better value for money in the capital.
Mayor Boris Johnson said: "The City Charter marks a new era in the relationship between the City Hall and the capital's boroughs to get a better deal for Londoners and make our city safer, greener and more prosperous."
He added that the city's most pressing issues would be addressed, which would help it emerge stronger from the economic downturn.
With the London Pass, people can explore the city for less as it gives free entry to a number of top attractions.
Among them is the Wernher Collection at Ranger's House, which is steeped in history for tourists to enjoy with no extra cost.
