London 'still holds value for tourists'

Published: Wednesday 6th of May 2009

Despite being perceived as an expensive city, London still has a great deal of value for its visitors, says one expert.

A spokesperson for Trip Advisor believes people need to look away from the beaten track in order to see what the city is really about.

"You need to go off the beaten track so don't just get caught in hotspots like Leicester Square and those of areas," she continues.

Authentic London, as the expert calls it, is all about seeing the series of villages which make up the city, rather than the more notable tourist attractions.

With the London Pass, visitors to the city can take their pick from a range of unusual attractions.

One of them is the Fan Museum in Greenwich, with pass holders able to enter free of charge, saving £4 on the cost of an adult ticket and £3 on a child's.
