London 'first for fashion, music, nightlife'

London is considered first for fashion, music and nightlife, Visit London claims.
If something is going to happen, it will happen in London first, states communications director Ken Kelling.
He points out that America is the capital's number one market for international visitors, with some 2.4 million coming each year to see London attractions.
"Americans ... might come here two or three times a year so they are always looking for something new and they have a good knowledge of London," he adds.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson last month announced a £2 million international marketing campaign to boost the number of international visitors coming to London attractions.
Entitles Only in London, it will focus on the unique and exceptional experiences, sights and attractions on offer in the capital.
American tourists in London can make their dollars go further while in the UK with a London Pass.
