Learn about architecture for things to do in London

Published: Thursday 19th of August 2010

Budding architects can cash in on a unique opportunity to see the best of London's architecture as part of a special event.

Open House London, held on September 18th and 19th, will allow public access into some of the capital's exceptional brick and mortar structures.

Visitors can make the most of this brilliant architectural showcase without having to pay any extra charges.

The event will feature 700 buildings in London accompanied by architect's talks, neighbourhood explorations and cycle tours across the capital and several other interesting activities.

Some the venues to be visited include the astounding BT Tower and Erno Goldfinger's Trellick Tower, among others.

While tickets for most structures can be booked ahead, those interested in seeing the BT Tower will have to rely on luck as tickets will be drawn out of random ballot.

September will also see the region between the Westminster Bridge and Tower Bridge coming alive with the Thames Festival.

Booking a trip with the London Bicycle Tour Company could add to your experience of things to do in London.
