Knit this weekend for things to do in London

Visitors planning their trip to London attractions like the Hampton Court Palace can enrich their experiences in the capital by attending a unique crafts-making festival.

I Knit Weekender, a two-day event centred on knitting and making handicrafts, could be the ideal way to unwind.

The event is packed with workshops where visitors can pick up some handy tips, group projects, live entertainment and of course a huge crafts market.

Design gurus Debbie Bliss and Alice Stanmore will be making special appearance at the festival to share their insights with the public.

At the festival, people will also have the chance to grab their copy of Ms Stanmore's republished book – Aran Knitting.

Those interested in visits more such exhibitions can make a trip to Walthamstow to take part in the E17 Art Trail.

The event allows festival-goers to choose their own route around an innovative array of art exhibits at local venues.
