Holidaying in London 'fantastic'
Published: Saturday 14th of March 2009
Having a holiday in London will be a fantastic experience, claims one industry expert.
Dee Doocey, Liberal Democrat member of the London Assembly and chair of the economic development, culture, sport and tourism committee, says its choice of hotels means there is something for everyone.
"A lot of people who come to London what they want to do is spend their money on the treats; maybe going to a theatre, going out, going to the sights," she continues.
Despite being a fairly expensive city, people who visit London are able to economise where they can, Ms Doocey adds, with cheap food and accommodation on offer if people know where to look for it.
According to PricewaterhouseCooper's UK hotels forecast, around 2,620 hotel rooms are already under construction in London, with another 2,000 likely to be built.
By getting hold of a London Pass, people can economise by getting free entry to a number of top attractions.
