Published: Tuesday 3rd of August 2010
In an attempt to encourage travellers as well as city-dwellers to indulge in a spot of fun, a giant maze has been set-up by the West End Partnership.
A temporary installation which will only grace the square till August 6th, it has been made up of laurel and thuja leaves.
Parts of the maze have been named after locations in London's West End and passers-by will be learn more about these as the negotiate the various bends and turns.
An uncanny prize awaits successful adventurers at the centre of the labyrinth. For every day of the maze's existence, a new piece of live entertainment will be gracing the centre of the maze.
Jace Tyrrell, from the West End Partnership, said: "By creating the maze and filling it with some of the best examples of what the West End has to offer, we're hoping to encourage visitors to go beyond their usual path and enjoy getting a little lost."
