Brits holidaying at home, says expert

Domestic tourism is seeing a boom this year as people opt to stay in the UK in a bid to support the economy, it has been said.
Holidaymakers are making the most of what is on the doorstep to avoid spending too much on heading abroad, revealed James Furse, John Lewis & Waitrose director of Card Services.
"The quality of the exchange rate against the euro in recent times has made European travel less attractive to some if not many," he continued.
Mr Furse believes people see their leisure time as a necessity rather than a luxury and are therefore reluctant to give it up entirely.
Some of these so-called staycationers might want to consider a break in London this summer, which can be made much more affordable with the London Pass.
It gives free entry to over 55 top London attractions, along with other offers throughout the city.
