Award ceremony honours Britain's top cartoonists

A gala ceremony has honoured the top cartoon-creating talent in the UK at the 14th Cartoon Art Trust Awards.
Organised and sponsored by one of the capital's most fascinating visitor attractions, the London Cartoon Museum, the ceremony rewarded the art form across a range of styles.
Among the winners was Raymond Briggs, creator of The Snowman and many other much-loved works, who received a lifetime achievement award in honour of his long and prolific career.
Elsewhere, certainly the youngest winner in the field was 12-year-old Emilia Franklin who won the under-18 category – certainly one to watch for the future.
The London Cartoon Museum opened to the public in 2006 and is one of the most popular small museums in Britain.
