Things to see in London: Elvis Presley in Concert

Published: Monday 30th of November 2009

Elvis Presley fans can see a production of the king of pop's greatest hits in two concerts at the O2 and Wembley Arena in London next year.

On Saturday, February 27th and Sunday 28th 2010, the European tour of Elvis Presley in Concert will return to London with some of Elvis' former band mates being reunited on stage alongside video-projected images of the king himself.

A full orchestra led by Joe Guerico will provide backing to some of the show along with members of the original TCB Band, which consists of four musicians who worked for Elvis, whose motto was Taking Care of Business.

Film footage of Elvis' television special in 1968 will be shown during the concerts, as well as clips from the 1973 Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii, via Satellite television special, and the MGM concert films Elvis, That's the Way It Is (1970) and Elvis on Tour (1972).

The tour will also visit other countries including Ireland, Scotland and Holland.

Wembley stadium can be accessed by the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines of the London Underground network, which also enables quick and easy access to many other London attractions.
