Things to do in London: See West End show Wicked
Published: Friday 8th of January 2010
Those looking for things to do in London after a busy day of sightseeing should consider a trip to the West End to watch Wicked, which enjoyed its highest grossing year in 2009.
The musical, now in its fourth year, grossed over £27 million at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre's Box Office, proving that it is a must-see for those visiting London.
Wicked tells the story of a couple of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz's characters, Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West, who form an unlikely friendship as sorcery students at Shiz University.
According to Time Out magazine: "Wicked will entrance every generation in wonder, wit and suspense."
It celebrated its 1,000th performance and won the Visit London Award for Best Family Fun last year.
The closest London Underground station to the theatre is Victoria, which is serviced by the Circle, District and Victoria lines, which have stops close to many other London attractions including the Tower of London.
