Published: Monday 7th of June 2010

Visitors to London attractions next weekend can treat themselves to a rare exotic time of Indian classical music.

Hosted by the Royal Albert Hall, the ignite series will see the performance venue's cafe welcoming music lovers of all tastes.

Sarod player Sachin Patwardan will wow audiences on Friday, June 18th, with his renditions of Indian raags.

His musical compositions will also be accompanied by another artiste on the tabla, providing a rhythmic backdrop to the sarod's delicate string music.

The performance venue has opened its doors to music enthusiasts for a series of musical presentations that are set to entertain audiences at the Cafe Consort from mid-afternoon to 13:30 BST.

In an attempt to facilitate more visits to London attractions, financial experts Barclays have announced their decision to back the London Cycle Hire System to encourage tourists as well as Londoners to enjoy the culture capital in an environment-friendly way.
