The King and I arrives at a Royal venue

Published: Saturday 10th of January 2009

The Royal Albert Hall is set to be a fitting – not to mention appropriately-named – venue for a new production of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, the King and I.

Star of smash hit US TV show Lost, Daniel Dae Kim will pay the title role alongside Maria Friedman as Anna in an innovative performance which will be fully staged in the round.

The show tells the story of a British governess brought into the historic court of the King of Siam, establishing an intriguing clash of cultures and the beginning of a tender and enchanting relationship.

With a run beginning on June 12th and finishing on June 28th, tickets have recently gone on sale and fans looking to see this captivating performance should act fast as demand promises to be high.

LondonPass holders can gain a fascinating insight into the workings of this much-loved concert venue for free with a tour of the Royal Albert Hall, saving £8 for adults.
