Teen Cancer Trust gigs announced at the Royal Albert Hall
Published: Sunday 15th of February 2009
London's Royal Albert Hall will host a series of concerts later this year, all for the benefit of a very good cause.
The Teen Cancer Trust events will take place at the prestigious venue from March 24th to 29th and the line-up includes some of the hottest draws from across the UK.
Opening the event will be Mercury Prize-winning Anthony and The Johnsons along with the highly-acclaimed Florence and the Machine. Stereophonics will follow the next night, along with some as-yet-unannounced special guests.
Kasabian are sure to bring the house down on the Friday night, while drawing the event to a close on Sunday will be an evening of top-notch comedy, hosted by possibly the most hotly-tipped young talents in the industry, Matthew Horne and James Corden.
The concerts have been arranged by the trust in conjunction with the not inconsiderable music industry clout of The Who frontman and British cultural icon Roger Daltrey.
LondonPass holders can enjoy a free backstage tour of the Royal Albert Hall, saving £8 for adults.
