Special musical events at Shakespeare's Globe

Published: Friday 9th of January 2009

The month of January will see a series of fantastic live music events take place at one of London's best-loved tourist attractions.

Shakespeare's Globe will play host to a series of live music events this month, with two well-liked acts.

On Friday nights, the Swan at the Globe Brasserie and Bar will see two of the UK's top contemporary musicians, Ray Carless and Dominic Grant, take to the stage to entertain the audience with their mix of soft saxophone and warm rhythm guitar.

Saturday nights see a change of pace with The Violet Jive, a brilliant trio that blend the swagger of old-time swing and Latino rhythms, throwing in some unexpected cover versions for good measure.

LondonPass holders can obtain free entry to the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre Tour and Exhibition, saving £10.50 for adults and £6.50 for children, in addition to a ten per cent discount in the Globe shop on purchases over £10.
