Published: Monday 3rd of November 2008

London's world-famous Royal Albert Hall is to host a one-off Broadway extravaganza this November.

RPO presents Best of Broadway will take place November 13th and will see Royal Philharmonic Orchestra work their way through some of the best-loved tunes from the history of musical theatre.

The world-renowned musicians will be joined by a host of West End stars, including Ria Jones and Michael Dore, who will sing songs from shows old and new.

Fans can expect hits from the likes of enduring favourites such as Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Miserables as well as newer productions like Wicked and Billy Elliot.

The event will also include a tribute to one of the most prolific musical partnerships in the industry, Rogers and Hammerstein.

The Royal Albert Hall is perhaps best known for the BBC Proms concerts held throughout the summer, but is also the venue for a number of tennis events, such as Davis Cup ties and prestigious senior and exhibition matches.
