Shoreditch Festival can add to your things to do in London
Published: Wednesday 7th of July 2010
The Shoreditch Festival kicks off on July 16th promising visitors to London's attractions an interesting experience.
Two days of the festival are packed with events, acts and activities that will take the fancy of attendees of all ages and tastes.
The festival opens with the proms in Shoreditch Park, featuring music by the Royal Philharmonica Orchestra, which will finally culminate in a spectacular fireworks display.
Music, dance and live acts will form the chunk of the festival offerings. A spoken word and literature tent at the event will give writers and budding artistes of east London a chance to showcase their talents and works.
Big screens will also be installed around the arena that will give visitors the chance to catch a movie, thanks to the Barbican Film.
Youngsters take centre stage during the World in Motion event, entertaining the crowds with music, dancing, fashion and films that they have created.
Visitors can also combine their festival visit with a trip to the Hampton Court Palace to enjoy a fantastic flower show.
