See what made Winslet weepy at the Curzon Mayfair cinema

Published: Wednesday 28th of January 2009

Everyone has probably seen Kate Winslet's speech at the Golden Globe awards - where she cried and forgot Angelina Jolie's name - but the Curzon Mayfair cinema is currently showing the film which won her the best actress gong: Revolutionary Road.

The film had been subjected to a lot of publicity before it had even been made, being the first time that Winslet has been reunited with her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.

Additionally, Revolutionary Road is directed by Winslet's real-life husband Sam Mendes.

It tells the story of a couple who are determined to live life according to higher ideals and not conform to the world they see around them.

However, they find themselves becoming more and more like the people they wanted to differentiate themselves from.

Revolutionary Road will be showing at the Curzon Mayfair cinema every day from January 30th to February 5th at 12:30, 15:15, 18:00 and 20:45.

London Pass holders can get in for free Monday to Thursday and before 17:00 Friday to Sunday.
