Save on London sightseeing at Shakespeare's Globe spring events
Published: Monday 8th of February 2010
People on the lookout for things to do in London during springtime might be excited by the roster of interesting events taking place at Shakespeare's Globe.
James Shapiro, award-winning author of the book 1599, will be at the London attraction on March 24th to talk about his new work, Contested Will.
In the book, Mr Shapiro investigates the ongoing debate surrounding the authorship of Shakespeare's plays – in other words, whether or not all of the plays were actually written by William Shakespeare, or if someone else may have been responsible.
A variety of other events are taking place at Shakespeare's Globe during spring, including birthday celebrations for the great playwright himself on April 18th.
Two study days are also scheduled, with visitors able to learn more about the plays Henry VIII and Macbeth on May 22nd and June 5th respectively.
Shakespeare's Globe was founded by the pioneering American actor and director Sam Wanamaker.
The Shakespeare's Globe Theatre Tour and Exhibition is one of a large number of London attractions that can be enjoyed by holders of London passes.
