Royal Albert Hall gig could inspire a unique collaboration

Published: Thursday 1st of January 2009

Having seen them bring the house down at the Royal Albert Hall, Sir Paul McCartney is reported as wanting to work with US band The Killers.

The Liverpudlian knight of the realm saw the Las Vegas four-piece at their recent London performance and met the band backstage after their set.

A source told the Sun: "Paul had a great time at the gig. He loves their music and their great attitude.

"He was as pleased to meet them as they were to meet him but they were gobsmacked when he said he'd love to do something with them music-wise."

The 66-year-old former Beatle has recently released Electric Arguments under the guise of The Fireman. The Killers are currently touring to promote their latest LP, Day and Age.

LondonPass holders can enjoy free admission to a guided tour of the Royal Albert Hall in London's upmarket Kensington, saving £8 for adults, in addition to a ten per cent discount on selected items in the venue shop.
