National Theatre 'set for a great spring'
Published: Saturday 21st of February 2009
Theatre fans heading for London over the coming weeks will find themselves spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting which play, thanks to an excellent programme from the National Theatre.
Opening on March 3rd, theatre-goers will be able to see Burnt by the Sun at the Lyttelton Theatre, which follows hot on the heels of award winning plays such as the Pitmen Painters and Berlin.
With Michelle Dockery, Rory Kinnear and Ciaran Hinds set to perform, tourists could be set to have a great experience at the National Theatre.
Looking further ahead, J B Priestley's Time and the Conways will be opening on May 5th, with a cast including Adrian Scarborough and Paul Ready.
Hollywood star Helen Mirren is also expected to tread the boards as the title role in Phedre later this year.
Theatre fans who want to see just what goes on behind the scenes can do so by joining National Theatre Backstage Tours, saving £5 per adult and £4 per child with the London Pass.
