Morrissey cancels more London dates
Published: Tuesday 26th of May 2009
Morrissey has been forced to cancel more dates on his tour due to illness.
The Smiths' frontman recently performed in front of fans to celebrate his 50th birthday, but subsequent concerts have now been cancelled.
"Event organisers would like to apologise to fans for the disappointment and are working to reschedule this show, so advise ticket holders to hang on to their tickets," said a spokeswoman for the singer.
She added that he was under orders from his doctor not to perform.
Morrissey's 50th birthday concert took place in his hometown of Manchester last week, with many commentators noting how he seemed to be in good spirits despite his poor health in recent days.
