Mark Knopfler offers tourists things to do in London's Royal Albert Hall

Published: Wednesday 2nd of June 2010

Mark Knopfler will no doubt be pulling in crowds to the Royal Albert Hall London attraction for the remainder of his residency this week.

The former Dire Straits frontman's last performance at the iconic venue will be on Friday June 4th, having been playing every night since May 30th.

Grammy award-winning Knopfler's set will include material from his new album Get Lucky, as well as some of the classic material that established Dire Straits and the songwriter's place in the music history books.

For those unfamiliar with the singer's solo work, Knopfler's distinctive husky vocals remain relatively unchanged from when he first established himself on stage two decades ago.

Those that are unable to make the Knopfler concerts can enjoy an intimate evening of jazz with the Ben Holder Trio this evening (June 2nd).

The virtuoso violinist will be joined by double bassist Tom Moore and guitarist Jon Smith.
