London jazz star 'ignites' the Royal Albert Hall

Published: Wednesday 19th of November 2008

Yet another talented jazz performer will regale visitors to the Royal Albert Hall this week.

As part of the Ignite series of free concert in the Hall's Café Consort, Thursday 20th November will see Juliet Kelly fill the unusual venue with her unique vocal talent.

Blending modern and established jazz traditions, her smooth and seductive sound is unlike anything that has been heard before.

A highlight of the London Jazz Festival, this performance is partly to promote Ms Kelly's latest release, the 'Licorice Kiss EP'.

While Ms Kelly may have been influenced by a range of artists old and new, her style definitely remains her own.

Having played all across London, Ms Kelly has recently visited some unusual destinations, such as the city of Orenburg in Russia, close to the Kazak border.

Visitors to the Royal Albert Hall can not only see Ms Kelly in action but can gain admission to the tour for free, on production of their LondonPass, saving adults £8.
