London attractions: The Renoir Cinema showing 127 Hours
Published: Tuesday 11th of January 2011
Those looking for things to do in London should go see 127 Hours at the Renoir Cinema.
Written by Simon Beaufoy and directed by Danny Boyle, 127 Hours tells the true story of Aron Ralston, an American who is climbing Utah's Blue John canyon alone.
He becomes stuck in an isolated ravine when a dislodged half-tonne boulder falls on him, crushing his right arm and trapping him against the canyon wall.
During the five days he is there he reflects on his life but his supplies are running out and he knows he will have to take extreme measures to survive.
This is the latest film from the director of cult classic Trainspotting and massive hit Slumdog Millionaire.
Meanwhile, many visitors may flock to London attraction Westminster Abbey after seeing the location in critically acclaimed film The King's Speech.
Colin Firth stars in the new film which shows him as King George VI at the abbey preparing for his coronation with his unqualified and unorthodox speech therapist Lionel.
