London attraction hosts Alternative Fashion Week
Published: Monday 20th of April 2009
The capital's trendsetters may be flocking to London attraction Spitalfields Traders Market as it hosts Alternative Fashion Week.
Starting today (April 20th) and with sponsorship from Rescue Cream, the London attraction presents a chance to check out bold new fashions from innovative young designers.
Over 70 designers have been picked for the event, with 14 presenting their work daily.
Each fashion show is on at 13:15 BST each day with live musical accompaniment from the jazz group Tex Tile and the Catwalk Combo.
Alternative Fashion Week is free, runs until April 24th and visitors should "expect anything from elegant to edgy", according to the event organisers.
It is just one of the cultural attractions in London, others include the National Theatre Backstage Tours and the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art, which is currently hosting an exhibition of drawing and sculpture from Umberto Baccioni.
London Pass holder can receive free entry to top London attractions.
