Harper Regan at the National Theatre

Published: Saturday 7th of June 2008

One Autumn night in 2006, Harper Regan turned her back on her home, her husband and her daughter. Now her story is being brought to the National Theatre in London.

The tale takes Harper from Uxbridge to Manchester via Stockport and back again over a period of two days and nights.

It seems as if her entire world might unravel as she puts everything in her life at risk.

The play examines family, love, delusion and how to exist in a godless universe.

Lesley Sharp takes up the lead role. In addition to TV work and theatre work, Ms Sharp has appeared on the big screen in films such as Vera Drake, From Hell - starring Johnny Depp and The Full Monty.

The play is being performed at the National Theatre from now until August 9th.

London Pass holders can receive free entry to the National Theatre Backstage Tours which look behind the scenes at the UK's premier theatrical venue.
