George Harrison lyrics go on show in London
Published: Sunday 10th of May 2009
Previously unseen lyrics penned by George Harrison have gone on display for the first time in London.
Now housed at the British Library, the words are jotted on a scrap piece of paper and had been forgotten about by their owner, Hunter Davies.
As The Beatles' biographer, Mr Davies has held on to the paper since it was given to him in the late-60s, only to be recovered recently.
"George gave this to me 40-odd years ago and, really, I forgot about it because it's a scrap - it's a love thing, about teenage angst," he told reporters.
The lyrics never apparently had a musical accompaniment, with the biographer believing they show a different side to the famously quiet member of the world-famous band.
