Curzon Cinemas hold London Short Film Festival

Published: Tuesday 6th of January 2009

One of the well-respected Curzon group of cinemas is to host a number of fascinating events as part of the London Short Film Festival later this month.

On January 10th, the Renoir will hold a screening of New Shorts – Funny S***, a collection of works high on laughter and wit.

The following day, New Shorts – F***ed Up Love will present a selection of films dealing with affairs of the heart in all their rich diversity, including the Encounters short film award winner Leaving by Sam Hearn and Richard Penfold.

In addition to these showings, there will be a series of Howling Feedback Sessions in the cinema's famous Soho Bar.

Highlights include Afternoon Tea with Current TV, a networking session for documentary-makers on Monday 12th, plus High End Digital Visual FX for Low Budget Productions, which outlines ways in which this specialist field of computer technology can be incorporated into independent productions to greater effect.

LondonPass holders visiting the Renoir Cinema can enjoy free entry to all performances from Monday to Thursday (except bank holidays) at any time and from Friday to Sunday (including bank holidays) for all performances starting before 17.00, saving £9 for adults and £5 for children.
