Published: Sunday 19th of October 2008

The 52nd Times London Film Festival will get underway at the Curzon Mayfair in October, beginning with a screening of the Bulgarian film Seamstresses on the 17th.

There will be plenty of screenings and a number of other events held at the cinema, which forms a central part of one of the world's premiere film festivals.

The London Film Festival, organised by the British Film Institute, is over half a century old. Each year it showcases the best in independent cinema that Britain, and the world, has to offer.

As well as getting to watch some fantastic films, the festival also offers a number of other events, such as scriptwriting masterclasses and free events such as discussions on topical themes among filmmakers today.

LondonPass holders can take in a great film at the Curzon Mayfair cinema absolutely free, saving £10 on the usual adult price of admission. Popcorn not included…
