Things to do in London: Enjoy a game of table tennis

Published: Monday 19th of July 2010

Families heading to London attractions such as the Florence Nightingale Museum for a pinhole camera session can enjoy a unique sporting experience in the capital city.

Stop and play table tennis matches are set to be the vogue in London this month as 100 ping pong tables crop up at various locations across the city.

Travellers as well as city dwellers milling around Heathrow Airport or reading at the British Library can enjoy this sport at their leisure. A table tennis match while relaxing in Soho Square or after enjoying the artistic displays of Tate Britain can add that zing into your usual day.

Organised by Sing London, the event will also benefit from specialised tutorials held by the English Table Tennis Association.

Lyric Square in Hammersmith has also being transformed into a sand-less Urban Beach to allow people to make the most of the sunshine relaxing on deck chairs while enjoying live entertainment.
