Published: Friday 10th of June 2011

Tennis fans in the UK for the upcoming Wimbledon 2011 tournament may want to take in some sports-related attractions in between matches.

With the Championships not officially kicking off until June 20th, there is plenty of time for tourists to enjoy the capital, including the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and Wimbledon Tour Experience.

The museum is open daily between 10:00 and 17:00 BST and showcases the "traditions, the triumphs, the emotions and the sights" of the tournament's legacy and history.

Included in the museum experience is the chance to see some of the cups, plates, medals and prizes that have featured at Wimbledon over the last 300 years.

There is an insight into how fashion has changed over the years, and visitors to the London attraction can also see how far the equipment has advanced.

Fans of cricket may also be interested in the Lord's cricket ground tour, enabling them to get expert insight into the Home of Cricket with an informed guide.
