Queens Ice and Bowl in charity Christmas bonus
Published: Sunday 11th of January 2009
London's only ice skating and ten-pin bowling venue has revealed that it helped raise a substantial sum of cash for the Down's Syndrome Association this Christmas.
Queen's Ice and Bowl in west London generated £1,500 for the good cause thanks to competitive skaters and their families using the top attraction over the festive period.
As they had no Christmas show to plan and practise for in 2008, the thoughtful bunch decided to turn their energies to charity fundraising in a number of fun and imaginative ways.
The young hopefuls did what they do best and received donations and sponsorship for their on-ice efforts, while the ever-present Mums organised a cake sale and raffle.
"Fun was the key word for the occasion with on and off ice events capturing the attention of everyone, so congratulations to all participants and helpers for a job well done," said the venue.
LondonPass holders can enjoy a free session of bowling or iceskating at Queens Ice and Bowl, a fantastic saving of £10.
