Olympic progress images unveiled

Published: Saturday 21st of March 2009

The latest images of the London 2012 Olympic site have been released, organisers have announced.

Pictures were unveiled before the BBC screened its Building the Olympic Dream series on March 19th, giving people a further insight into what is going on.

"Construction on all venues on the park is going very well and it is clear how much visible progress we are making on the park," comments David Higgins, chief executive of the Olympic Delivery Authority.

He adds that the extra features on the website also make it easier for people to follow what is going on as London prepares for the games in three years' time.

Among the features of the online facility is a webcam which shows the stadium's progress every couple of hours and a map showing the anticipated impact of the games.

People heading for London to check out the latest progress should take advantage of the London Pass.
