London Olympic site 'will be well-connected'
Published: Tuesday 30th of June 2009
The site of the 2012 Olympics in London will be the best-connected the Games have ever seen, one expert has claimed.
Nick Mercer, commercial director at Eurostar, said there will be a Javelin service operating between St Pancras and both Stratford and Ashford, giving people plenty of opportunity to travel to the venue.
"We have millions of tourists in London every year and in the summer there are almost as many tourists in London as there will be during the Olympic Games," he suggested.
London is used to moving large amounts of people around, Mr Mercer said, which makes the Games more logistically possible.
Sporting fans heading to the capital have a whole host of attractions to make the most of prior to the Olympics, including the Chelsea FC Stadium Tour.
With the London Pass, entry is free, saving visitors £15 per adult and £9 per child.
