Hoteliers 'will not rip off' Olympic visitors
Published: Friday 3rd of July 2009
Hotels across London will not be increasing their rates to rip off visitors to the 2012 Olympic Games, it has been claimed.
David Rushton, director of UK field sales at Accor Hotels UK, said it is the ideal opportunity for the city to showcase what it has to offer to four billion people.
"The rooms that have been secured by London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games, 45,000 rooms, have been secured on that average room rate," he revealed.
Europeans will find this is a particularly good deal at the moment as the pound is so weak, Mr Rushton added.
Exploring London is made much cheaper with the London Pass, which gives free entry to a whole host of top attractions.
Among them is Lord's Cricket Ground, a must-see venue for any sports fan visiting the capital over the coming months.
