Go ice-skating at Hampton Court Palace for things to do in London

Published: Tuesday 8th of November 2011

For a great day out while on a London sightseeing tour, why not combine a visit to Hampton Court Palace with a bit of ice-skating?

Between November 26th and January 6th, the palace's famous ice risk returns to the West Front, accompanied by music. The rink has proved extremely popular in recent years, and visitors are strongly advised to book in advance if they plan to get their skates on.

Even if you don't feel up to the ice skating, there is plenty to see and do at Hampton Court Palace, one of Britain's most historic locations and perhaps most famous for being the favourite residence of Henry VIII.

Between December 19th and the 23rd, the palace will also play host to a very popular outdoor carol singing event, making it the perfect family day out in the run-up to Christmas.

Guests can also take part in one of the regular ghost tours that will be running until March 4th 2012.
